South Crawford Elementary Students receive gifts!
South Crawford Elementary PTO, Duke Energy, and Duke Energy employee, Jaime Lynton, worked together to provide South Crawford Elementary students with gifts last week! Each student from Preschool to Grade 5 received a fleece blanket with the South Crawford logo along with cups, hot cocoa mix packets, gloves, notepads, pencils, and toothbrushes.

Today we recognize those who have protected and continue to protect our way of life. Originally called “Armistice Day,” this day began as a tribute to the Americans who sacrificed their lives in World War I. Now, we also honor all American veterans who have served in wars, before and after World War I - to defend democracy. We honor our veterans from every time of peace as well, for they protect what our war veterans fought and died to defend. We celebrate this day - we honor veterans today - because we know that without them, there would be no “land of the free.”

Reminder that tomorrow is Picture Retake Day! There are order forms available in the office if you need one! Virtual students are welcome to drive around to the back door in order to come in to take a picture. Masks are required while waiting for pictures.
