Tonight is the Girls Winter Basketball Jamboree At the High School . West Crawford Girls will play at 6pm and 7:15 pm. Dancers will dance at 7:05 pm.

Lets CELEBRATE the work that Ms. Bigham has put into the Partner Reading Paragraph Shrinking whole class intervention. This data is after about 5 weeks of implementation. Ms. B and I set explicit expectations for the time allocated and she has ensured that the intervention is implemented with fidelity. The most important part is that ALL students showed growth in Oral Reading Fluency scores and most are reading more fluently in the classroom!🎉

Please see the attached picture of our current Lost and Found. If you recognise any item please remind you student to pick it up. It would be a good idea to put a label or some type of identification inside articles of clothing, especially with the weather changing, coats and jackets will start to pile up.

WCE Cheer and Dance Teams there will be NO Cheer practice on October, 7th and 8th, due to Fall Break . Practices will begin October, 16th.
Dance Team will have their last practice on Monday, October 13th. Their first performance will be Tuesday, October 14th at the girls home game.

WCE Boys Basketball practices will begin Monday, October 13th, 5:30pm-7:00pm. Boys will need to go home and then return for practice.

Fall Break for CCCS will begin Monday, October 6th and continue through Friday, October 10th. Classes will resume on Monday, October 13th.

Today, Friday, October 3rd is an E-Learning day ! All E-Learning assignments are due by Wednesday, October 15th.

WCE is h ostiing Grandparents/Special Person's Day and Book Fair! Grandparents/Special Person's Day will be held on Friday, Oct. 18! Please contact your special student/child to attend Grandparents/Special Person's Day! Book Fair will continue throughout the remainder of this week! Good evening WCE Families! Tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 4 is an eLearning Day. Students must complete their assignments and return to school no later than Wednesday, Oct. 16. It your student does not complete the assignment, the student will be marked absent.

Good evening WCE Families! We're gearing up for a new year! Here are a few reminders... WCE meet the teacher night is tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4:30 - 6:00. We hope to see you there! School officially starts on Friday, Aug. 2 and we're excited to see all the students. :) Kindergarten students will be on a soft start. Kindergarten boys will attend on Friday, Aug. 2; Kindergarten girls will attend on Monday, Aug. 5. No Kindergarten students will attend on Tuesday, Aug. 6; and ALL Kindergarten students will attend on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Please notify WCE Office staff if your student will be a car rider. All students will be sent on the bus home everyday, unless you have called our school office to let them know your students' arrangements. Grades 3 - 5, If you have not already done so, please send in your students payment for their $3.00 planner fee. West Crawford Elementary School is seeking class or student sponsorship to make the upcoming school year an exceptional experience for our students. WCE will host Team Peace twice weekly throughout the school year to boost academic success and prosocial skills through focused attention practices, emotional awareness, and movement that promotes balance, focus, and calm. Team Peace addresses and educates the whole person—child or adult—by recognizing the vital role of social, emotional, physical, and mental health in thriving in school and society.
